Ans. Charley was in haste to reach his wife.
  • He was quite stressed and jaded.
  • He accidently ran into the third level.
  • The third level was much smaller, there were fewer ticket windows, the information booth was wood and old- looking. The man in the booth wore a green eyeshade and black sleeve protectors. The lights were dim and flickering.
  • All the people were dressed in old fashion, they wore clothes of 1890’s.
  • He asked for two tickets to take him and his wife to galesburg .
  • The clerk got miffed. Charley had new styled bills.
  • Charley rushed from the third level. He did not want to go to Jail.

  • He offers the officer to shoot any creature but a tiger. Here the officer was adamant.
  • The witty king decided to lure the British officer’s wife. He arranged for some fifty rings from Calcutta for the officer’s wife.
  • He asked the lady to choose one or two rings and send the rest back. The greedy woman kept all fifty.
  • It costed him rupees three lakhs but the Tiger king managed to save his kingdom.
